As I am sitting in the living room last night, relaxing with my family, I am thinking about so many things - what should I include in the kit? what should the kit cost? how many different scents should be offered? variety of sizes? jars? And the list goes on and on....Looking over my notes this morning, I have decided to just take it One Day ... One Item ... One Scent ... One Size ... at a time. Start with what we have, see what works and then add to the product line as we go. I keep a daily journal with dates, things to do, things that I want to see, business goals, etc. and I will continue to use this as I take this journey through faith.
I may have to make many changes in the future and then again, maybe not! We'll have to see what scents sell, what new ones the customers would like to see, etc - this goes along with the actual product line including candle sizes, new product additions, etc.
Today and this weekend, I am finishing up a smaller version of the catalog. This will be an easier version to mail, will also be included in hostess packets and available for "book order" parties. I finished up our informational brochure during the week, it looks FABULOUS, and it will be readily available to consultants and can also be used as a handout.
Off to finish up some small minor details ... Have a Blessed Weekend

New Beginnings / Fresh Start
“Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.” Maria RobinsonI wasn't sure what to write about today and after 3 cups of coffee and a walk outside, I decided that if I was going to start blogging daily maybe we should just "Start Fresh with a New Beginning".
This photo was actually taken with my BlackBerry one morning. What started out as a cloudy day, actually became sunny. Here the sun is trying to break through the clouds - New Beginnings / Fresh Start.

Prim 'n Purdy was started because a stay at home mom had a dream - a dream to provide an income for her family but also allow her to be at home with her children.That dream began with the desire to create a better smelling, better burning candle. After months of research and then more months spent testing the product, Prim 'n Purdy was born.
Little Known Fact: Prim 'n Purdy did not start out as Prim 'n Purdy. It actually started out with the name of Heartwarming Creations and then I realized that the name was already taken (along with the website).
Prim 'n Purdy, founded in 1997, began with only ONE product - a Votive Candle. That dream ignited into a desire to create bath and body products that every mom would want to use to pamper themselves. Prim 'n Purdy has continued to grow that dream with guidance from God and a walk in faith.
Little Known Fact: This is a true fact - Prim 'n Purdy did not start out with the same goals and desires that we now have. After many years of praying, the walk along the right path (God's direction) became our "ultimate goal". This is being achieved by a commitment to do God's will, a walk in faith (which can sometimes be like driving in fog) and lots of praying (by myself and others) and support.
As I walk along the faith path, I know that there will be bumps and even a few mountains, mistakes will probably be made (I ask for your forgiveness now); there will be trials and tribulations along the way, but I know that in the end, I will have reach the finish line that God has impressed upon my heart.

Missing Me...
I have been missing for quite a while judging by the date of my last post. I have made a goal/commitment to post daily (Monday - Friday) so hopefully you'll be seeing a lot more posts from me in the near future. Most times I do not post on the weekends, mainly because I reserve those times for a day off and family days.
I actually made this commitment to start on June 1st. After all, it was a Monday, beginning of a new month, BUT things happen and so I had to change my start date. June 3rd seemed like the next date to start this project. Why? It's a month before my birthday and the number 3 has always been my favorite number - smiles!
I was trying to come up with a system of sorts. You know on Monday - post a recipe, Tuesday - post a business tip; but I couldn't seem to find a system that I liked so we're just going to see how things go.
What will you be seeing from me? Definitely business tips - direct sales, tax tips, party ideas, etc, Recipes - Quick and Easy, Crockpot, Desserts, etc, New Products, New Scents, New Ideas, Specials of the Month, Decorating and Organizational Tips, etc - a Variety of Ideas and Tips.
I look forward to "chatting" with you tomorrow. Have a Blessed Day!
